Description
The Microvision was a hand-held game console released by the Milton Bradley Company in 1979. The Microvision was designed by Jay Smith, the engineer who would later design the Vectrex gaming console. The Microvision's combination of portability and a cartridge-based system led to moderate success, with Smith Engineering grossing $8 million in the first year of the system's release. However, very few cartridges, a small screen, and a lack of support from established home video game companies led to its demise in 1981.

Microvision, 11 Jun 2008

Microvision was actually released by Milton Bradley in 1978 to coincide with the Holiday sale season. The units are awesome (for thier time) and were originally sold with one game included (blockbuster). Subsequent titles included Baseball, Connect four, Sea Duel, a Star-Trek-Like game and a couple of other, no more than 10 titles all together.
Although the US version had these plastic mylar buttons, the European version was far and above better. It featured integrated molded plastic hinged buttons. Made for a much more stable unit.
If anyone has any other the Microvisions in thier original boxes, i sure would like to buy them. So, let me know!
